Problems and solutions

Scene One Problems and Solutions.
We couldn't see Matt's face clearly because of the length of his wig and the wind. However we decided that this just added to emotion of Edwardo being sad about his life and him being Gothic.
The wind also kept blowing the paper that Edwardo was writing on, but we manage to keep it under control.

Scene Two Problems and Solutions.
Because Sam was absent we didn't have a four person to be on camera, so we had long bits before and after the acting pieces where we have to run away from the camera to get in position then to run back to turn the camera off. We over came this by just simply cutting the unneeded pieces at the end and beginning of the scene filmed. Another problem was that you couldn't hear me and Laura too well because it was a long shot of the camera, so we needed to walk that little bit closer. We sorted everything in the end by marking the spots where we needed to be when we spoke.

Scene Three Problems and Solutions.
Scene three was the scene where Edwardo walked up the stairs and was abused by three girls calling him loser. The problem with this scene was that, the shot we used a teacher walks through the set. However we decided to use this shot because the teacher is laughing at Matt whiles filming this scene, so it added to the point that Edwardo was making that his school life is hell, even the teachers laugh at him. The lighting in this scene is a bit strong, where it makes the people look dark because there are two windows behind the characters. But you can still see everyone in the shot, so we stuck with the location and used the scene that was shot.
The problem with the second half of this scene is that near the end of the scene you can see me filming Edwardo and the bully and you can see Laura stood to the side watching it. You can see our reflections on a plastic notice board that it was filmed in front of. It is not that noticeable at the end of the day and we asked our teacher for advice on what to do about our reflections, we was told to leave it as it was and no one has noticed it yet. Also whiles filming scene four, after Sam has ran after Edwardo, he was stood in front of the camera, but this was suppose to be an over the shoulder shot. So we marked out where Sam had to stand in order to get the right shot.

Scene Four Problems and Solutions.
We wasn't sure how to shoot this scene at first. Whether to pause it half way through and use different angles for when Hannah punches Arnie, or whether just to film it all the way through and use the second camera to get the different shots. We decided to film it all the way through and use the second camera for different shots. During the editing process for this scene, we realised that the part where Edwardo is stood outside the classrooms, we had cut too much of the scene, so we need to upload that part again and place it over the short scene to make it longer.

Editing.
We didn't have many problems editing, we did have a sound issue at the end of scene two because you could hear someone laughing so we had to edit out the sound. Then another problem accured with this scene because there is background noise and then it just dropped silent because we cut the audio at the end. So in the end to solve our problem we just cut the scene down so the laughter was cut out. Another problem with editing we had was when we tried to slow the scene down. We couldn't get the speed right or get the speed in the right place. So we decided not to have a slow motion and just have it the normal speed and edit in the titles afterwards.
